The EHS Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of Environment, Health & Safety programmes across local and global operations.
This position places a strong emphasis on programme management, stakeholder alignment, and execution within a regulated environment. While EHS compliance remains an essential component, the primary focus is on ensuring the effective implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of EHS initiatives

The role operates within a matrix organisation
, requiring collaboration across functions and the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Lead and manage EHS programmes and projects in line with defined timelines, scope, and budget
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives
, ensuring alignment between site operations, technical functions, and global teams - Drive the implementation and rollout of EHS systems, tools, and initiatives
- Ensure programme adoption and sustainability
, monitoring effectiveness beyond initial deployment - Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
, including site leadership and global functions - Monitor programme performance
, including KPI tracking, reporting, and risk management - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support cost-efficiency initiatives
- Support the development and delivery of training and communication activities related to EHS programmes
- Contribute to maintaining compliance with applicable EHS regulations and internal standards
- University degree in Environment, Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional experience in programme or project management within a regulated environment (e.g. pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or manufacturing)
- Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional initiatives in a matrix organisation
- Experience in programme implementation and rollout
, including stakeholder engagement and adoption - Strong understanding of EHS principles and regulatory requirements
- Proven track record in stakeholder management and effective communication
- Analytical and structured approach, with focus on performance metrics and outcomes
- Proficiency in MS Office applications
- Fluency in German and English
- Experience in organisational change or transformation environments
- Familiarity with digital tools, systems implementation, or data-driven processes within EHS
- Certification as a Safety Specialist (SiFa) is advantageous, but not mandatory
