The Graduate School
The International Max Planck Research School IMPRS “From Molecules to Organisms” is a collaboration between the Max Planck Institute for Biology Tübingen, the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory of the Max Planck Society and the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. We offer fully funded PhD Positions - Life Sciences.
Research
The International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) “From Molecules to Organisms” provides excellent interdisciplinary training in structural, molecular, cellular, and developmental biology, bioinformatics, genomics, and evolutionary biology.
We invest in the next generation of scientists who will gain expertise and skills to study complex biological processes that bridge the gap between molecules and living organisms.
Our program transcends traditional life science disciplines, combining pioneering methodologies and scientific approaches from various fields to address research questions that require an interdisciplinary approach.

Your profile
- Hold, or expect to hold, a Master’s (or Diplom) in Natural or Computer Science by the PhD start date.
- Have skills, knowledge, and interests aligned with their proposed research area.
- Have excellent written and spoken English.
