Embedded Software Engineer | LEO Satellite

A confidential New Space venture is building a LEO satellite installation and integration product from scratch; and is now looking for an embedded software engineer to complete a five-person core team. This is a genuine full cycle opportunity - you will begin with early phase work spanning system architecture, tooling selection, and hardware component decisions before progressing through the full lifecycle from proof of concept through to design, implementation, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded software for SoCs, evaluation boards, and custom platforms
• Develop drivers, middleware, and applications to enable proof of concepts and system prototypes
• Integrate partner SDKs and in-house modules, supporting hardware and software co-design and debugging
• Contribute to rapid prototyping and validation of satellite communication technologies
• Support early-phase work including system architecture, tooling selection, and hardware component decisions

Skills

• 2+ years of embedded software development experience
• Strong networking background - IP, Ethernet, TCP/UDP, routing
• Experience with C programming language, embedded Linux, RTOS
• EU citizenship required for clearance purposes

Strong Differentiators

• C++, Rust, or Python as additional languages
