It is one of the world’s largest, most latency‑sensitive data pipelines, ingesting, normalizing, storing, and distributing hundreds of billions of events daily across more than 100 million instruments.

• Market Data Feeds – high‑volume exchange connectivity and normalization
• Market Data Storage & Retrieval – large‑scale time‑series storage and query infrastructure

• Build, coach, and develop a high‑performing engineering team, including hiring
• Drive architecture and delivery of scalable, low‑latency and highly available systems
• Instill an engineering culture centered on clarity, accountability, and quality
• Partner with stakeholders to align priorities, manage expectations, and deliver iteratively
• Collaborate across global engineering groups to evolve shared infrastructure and standards
• Establish team vision, operating model, and cultural foundations

• Experience managing and mentoring engineers in a fast‑paced environment
• A track record of delivering complex distributed systems or large‑scale infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and comfort navigating high‑stakes, cross‑team work
• Technical leadership that balances execution with long‑term strategic thinking
• Recent, practical coding experience to participate in code reviews and handle scoped development work
• Strong hands‑on experience with C++

• Experience working with globally distributed teams
• Background in real‑time, high‑throughput, or fault‑tolerant systems
• Exposure to financial market data or streaming data infrastructure

You will lead teams building the core systems of Bloomberg’s data ecosystem—where reliability, speed, and correctness directly impact clients worldwide. The scope is large, the technical challenges are real, and the impact is immediate.
