IB Diploma Program - Taught in English:
The IB diploma is an academically challenging and balanced program of education that is designed to prepare our senior students for successful admission to college or university or college anywhere in the world.
The program has a strong international dimension, and draws on content from educational cultures from around the world. The IB diploma requires study across a broad range of subjects - both individual subjects and transdisciplinary areas.
Special emphasis given to learning languages. At ISB, students can choose to learn Spanish & Catalan; German; Chinese; or French.
ISB also offers students the opportunity to combine their IB studies with A-levels (British system)
at the University of Cambridge. This allows them an alternative route to enter college.
- Theory of Knowledge (TOK). A combination of conferences and seminars, and, above all, a course on critical thinking. The dissertation develops skills in research methods and presentation of a formal document.
- Creativity, Action and Service (CAS). Encompasses activities ranging from sports clubs and theater productions, to volunteer work for the elderly and disabled.
- PE (Physical Education)
