Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media, Bangalore: The Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media (IIJNM) is one of South Asia's leading post-graduate schools of journalism and media. The school is located in the heart of India's high-tech industry in Bangalore in the state of Karnataka. We offer one-year diploma and post-graduate diploma programs in print journalism, broadcast journalism or multimedia journalism. 1-Year Diploma Programs in Journalism & New Media:
Both diploma programs consist of core courses including advanced seminars, electives, media workshops and a master's thesis project. Depending on the type of diploma program, the requirements for graduation vary.
- Diploma in print, broadcast or online/multimedia: 1-year Diploma program in print, broadcast or multimedia journalism. To apply for this course, candidates need to have completed pre-university or Standard 12 education or be preparing to take their Class 12 exam in the current year.
- Post-graduate diploma in print, broadcast or online/multimedia: 1-year Post-graduate Diploma program in print, broadcast or multimedia journalism. Eligibility criteria for the PG Diploma course: The candidate needs to have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline. Those in their final year can also apply.
The curriculum has been developed in association with Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, New York. It combines theory and practice to prepare its graduates for positions in the media industry.
