Spanish Language School in Pichilemu, Chile

Pichilemu Institute of Language Studies:
PILS (The Pichilemu Institute of Language Studies) is a unique Spanish language school in Chile's surfing capital, Pichilemu which is located on Chile’s rural coast, only 3.5 hours by bus from Santiago and its international airport. We offer intensive and non-intensive Spanish courses to students from around the world. In addition, we offer study abroad semester programs and college credit programs for US and international college & university students.

Our school is located in the historic district of Pichilemu in a large house built around 1920. Students are welcome to use the reception area for studying, watching movies, exchanging books, drinking coffee, and socializing. Our school also functions as an English language learning facility and we like to promote cross cultural exchanges between students.The local people ‘Pichileminos’ are friendly and interested in helping students with practicing Spanish. Students can choose to stay with homestay families, in cabins with kitchens, at hotels, or hostels.

Pichilemu is Chile’s Surf Capital located only 3.5 hours by bus from Santiago on Chile’s rural coast. Pichilemu is in the 6th region of Chile, known for its deep huaso (cowboy) culture. Pichilemu is most famous for its spectacular beaches with beginner to advanced surfing waves. In addition to surfing, students can spend their time mountain biking, kayaking, learning to kite surf, horseback riding, and visiting near-by wineries and local artisans. Pichilemu is a small town with many restaurants, internet cafes, pubs, and discos. Everything in Pichilemu is within walking distance.

Biking is another popular activity. This student is checking out the famous big-wave spot, Punta de Lobos.
