Proyecto Peru is a Spanish language school in Cusco, Peru that offers high-quality Spanish courses to students from around the world. We also organize free volunteer projects and internships. Volunteer programs are available for participants who want to work in different areas around Cusco. Volunteers should take at least 20 hours of Spanish lessons and accommodation during their volunteer work.

Proyecto Peru considers how to use cultural diversity and communications as effectively as possible in the volunteer programs.

Volunteer Programs in Cusco:
We offer volunteering projects for those who wish to work with children & schools; orphanages and medical clinics. We have after-school programs, projects with health care, working with elderly people. But there are also possibilities to help an organization with their marketing, webpage, communications or organization.

Volunteers need to be available for at least 4 weeks and the required level of Spanish depends on the project you choose. Projects with children and with school students last at least one month. Most volunteers stay for between two and three months. Community projects are more flexible; they can be arranged for a week, two weeks, etc. depending on your request. You determine for yourself how long you would like your placement to last. Placements are available all year.

Volunteers in Proyecto Peru have a chance to learn a new language, live in another culture, develop career and leadership skills and create a better world. Workshops will be given to volunteers by specialized teachers to train them for their volunteer work projects (dental hygiene, painting, how to teach, etc.)

Volunteer Monitoring:
Throughout the project, the coordinator will help volunteers by regularly visiting them and monitoring their progress. We are always willing to support volunteers by answering questions and providing the best advice on fundraising and other issues such as health, culture, excursions, safety, travel and special events.
