Hua Hsia Chinese School, North London:
Hua Hsia Chinese School provides a wide range of Mandarin Chinese language courses for adults - from beginner to advanced levels. Our adult classes are run in Hampstead in the borough of Camden in North Central London. Students learn basic skills of conversation, reading and writing in Chinese. We offer evening and weekend classes that are specifically suited to the needs of our students. Hua Hsia Chinese School is organising our annual Chinese Culture Easter Camp in Hampstead (3/4 to 6/4) and Southgate (9/4 to 13/4).

Beginner - Advanced Mandarin Chinese Language Courses:

Adult - Beginner Chinese:
Suitable for adults who have no prior knowledge of the language and are interested in learning Mandarin Chinese.


Adult - Lower Intermediate Level Chinese:
By the end of these two stages, students should have covered enough ground to be able to cope with many everyday needs in a Chinese-speaking environment.

At this point, you can either seek externally validated qualifications, or move to a conversation course. Designed for adults who have either completed 2-year courses or have at least 80 hours of learning experience.


Adult - Advanced Level Chinese:
Students are supposed to have good skills in conversation, reading and writing. In this course, the vocabulary and sentences will be expanded with discussion on a range of topics.

The course is suitable for adults with a minimum vocabulary of 1000 Mandarin characters.


Private / One-to-one Chinese Lessons:
One-to-one private tuition is the most effective way to learn Chinese. Our one-to-one classes are tailored specifically to suit your personal goals, interests, and learning needs.

Private Chinese lessons can take place at your home, office or other location of your choice. You can choose the schedule that best suits you. Private lessons are available to: 

- Adults and children of all levels (beginner to advanced)
- GCSE or A-level students
- Busy professionals / business executives


Chinese Culture Classes:
To help our students understand more about China, we hold weekly culture classes that focus on specific aspects of traditional Chinese culture, such as calligraphy, Chinese Tai Chi, and painting.
