Australian International College of Language (AICOL) - TESOL in Ho Chi Minh City:
The Australian International College of Language (AICOL) is an accredited English language school in Queensland, Australia. We now offer a four-week TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certificate course in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The AICOL TESOL course is offered 10 times throughout the year at an amazing cost of US$1,599, and is delivered at the Australia-Vietnam School of English (which is fully accredited by the Ministry of Education in Vietnam to operate as an English Language School).

Certificate IV in TESOL (4 weeks / 150 hours):
The course is taught by qualified teachers and is 150 hours in duration: 80 hours of instruction; 10 hours of classroom observation; 10 hours of practical teaching as well as 50 hours of written work. Six core units are required for award of this course. Elective units are optional.

Course Content:
- Apply Adult TESOL Methodologies to Develop English Language skills
- Design and Develop Learning Strategies
- Design and Develop Learning Resources
- Identify and use Basic Grammatical Concepts and Traditional Metalanguage
- Plan an Integrated Lesson using Communicative Language Teaching Methodology
- Use the Terminology of Traditional Grammar and Locate Information in Grammar Textbook

Some students may need to undertake preparatory English classes.

Who is eligible for the AICOL TESOL Certificate course?
This course is ideally suited to native English speakers with preference given to students who hold a University Degree. Other educational qualifications will be considered.

Non-native speakers will need to be University or College graduates (English major) with upper intermediate or above level of English language skills. There is a pathway price of $250 per week for English classes at AICOL Gold Coast campus for students who have not yet reached an Upper Intermediate level of English.
