The Australian High Commission in Ottawa provides consular services to Australians in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nunavut and the Northwest Territories, as well as Bermuda. It also provides passport and notarial services to Australians in Canada. The High Commission also assists members of the Canadian government, media and public in need of information about Australia and Australian businesses.

It is recommended that all Australians travelling to or living in Canada access the latest travel advisory and register online with the Australian Government via Smartraveller.

Passport, notarial services and certifications are available by appointment. The time for appointments: Monday to Friday, 9.30 - 13.00, 14.00 - 16.00. Appointments outside of these times may be available on a case by case basis.

Australian citizens in Canada and Bermuda can lodge passport applications at the Australian High Commission in Ottawa, or Consulates in Toronto and Vancouver. It is important to be aware of passport application requirements before seeking to lodge an application. Fees for passport applications lodged in Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver may be paid by credit card. Lost or stolen passports can be reported online via the Australian Passports Office.
