The High Commission in Australia provides the following consular services:

All foreign visitors entering into Brunei Darussalam must have a valid visa and passport or travel document, as well as onward tickets and sufficient funds to support themselves while in the country. Visa arrangements and requirements may vary by nationality. The length of validity of the visa is a maximum of 3 months. Australian citizens can travel to Brunei for up to 30 days, the visa will be given on arrival.
Bruneian nationals who need to renew or have lost their passports are advised to notify the High Commission as soon as possible. For nationals who intend to return to Brunei within six months, another alternative is to apply for an Emergency Certificate (Sijil Darurat). This certificate is a one-way travel document to be used for return travel to Brunei Darussalam.
A child born in Australia whose father is a citizen of Brunei Darussalam should be reported to the High Commission within a period of six months after the date of birth.
