The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Registers Egyptian citizens abroad;

  • Deals with matters related to Egyptian citizenship.

If Egyptian passport is lost or stolen, it should be immediately reported to local police and a police notification will be needed when applying for a new passport.

To obtain a visa to enter Egypt, the following documents are required:

  • passport valid for at least 6 months;
  • Two personal photos with white background;
  • Filled in visa application;
  • A photocopy of the residence card in the foreign country.

Citizens of some countries must have previous permits before being granted a visa. Permission procedures take 15 days and once the permission is issued, the visa processing begins.
