Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issues birth certificates;
• Renews working permits;
• Deals with Egyptian citizenship matters;
• Issues passports;
• Deals with civil and personal affairs;
• Issues visas.

In case of lost, stolen or damaged passport, it should be reported to the local police station.

Non-Egyptian visitors arriving in Egypt are required to be in possession of a valid passport. Entry visas may be obtained from Egyptian Diplomatic and Consular Missions Abroad or from the Entry Visa Department at the Travel Documents, Immigration and Nationality Administration (TDINA). It is, however, possible for most tourists and visitors to obtain an entry visa at any of the Major Ports of Entry.

Citizens of Norway residing in Norway must apply for a visa to Egypt in person at the embassy of Egypt in Norway.
