El Salvador Embassy can do the following:
- advise on how to transfer money through a bank or other money transfer company (such as Western Union),
- transfer funds to help those in distress,
- help victims of sudden illness, accidents and crimes so that they can get the medical care or other immediate assistance they need,
- grant a temporary passport for repatriation (to replace a passport which is outdated or which has been lost, stolen or destroyed),
- contact the insurance company in cases of sickness or death,
- help those in distress or crisis situations, or those taken into custody, to get in touch with their next of kin
If you are a citizen of a country that requires consular visa, you can proceed in the consulate or embassy of El Salvador. For a consular visa entry cost is $ 30.00, while for multiple Consular Visa is $ 60.00.
Requirements:
- Commitment letter to the Director General of the Foreign Service.
- Have a passport with at least six months validity.
- Filled visa form
- A recent color photograph.
- Copy of airline tickets (if available)
- Outward journey and return flight
If the representative is a legal entity, it must attach the following information:
- Deed of Company duly registered in the Commercial Register.
- Credential force registered in the Commercial Register.
Theft or loss of a valid passport must be reported to the police and a police report should be presented when applying for a new passport. Otherwise a passport is applied as normally. When reporting a lost passport to the police it should be noted that a report made by telephone and a registration number given on the basis of that might not be adequate proof to the insurance company. The report can be made in person at a police station so that a report of the crime is available in writing.
