Bilateral relations between Estonia and Belgium are excellent in the spheres of politics, economy, culture as well as education. Estonia regards Belgium as a reliable partner in both European Union and NATO fora. Mutual understanding is enhanced by the fact that both Estonia and Belgium are amongst the small countries of Europe.

Estonian Embassy in Belgium is also accredited to Luxembourg and Switzerland.

Consular services are public services provided by a consular officer in the embassy, in order to protect the interests and rights of the Estonian state, Estonian nationals and Estonian legal persons.

Consular services provided:

• Assistance to Estonian nationals abroad;
• Legalization of public documents;
• Issuance of Estonian passports;
• Registration of Estonian citizens abroad.

If Estonian passport is lost or stolen abroad, Estonian citizen should address the closest Service Office for invalidation of the document and, if necessary, for submission of an application for new document.

Nationals of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) and any third-country national holding a residence permit of a Schengen State do not need a visa to enter Estonia. Therefore, citizens of Belgium do not need visas to visit Estonia.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
