The Embassy of Mexico is the official representative of the Mexican government in Saudi Arabia and concurrently in the Kingdom of Bahrain, Oman and the Republic of Yemen.

Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

  • Issuance of passports;
  • Issuance of visas;
  • Registration of Mexicans abroad;
  • Consular protection of Mexicans abroad;
  • Assistance to Mexicans in cases of emergency;
  • Civil registration;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Other documentation services.

In case of lost or stolen Mexican passport abroad, it should be immediately reported to the competent authority. Report about the loss, theft of the passport will be required when applying for an emergency passport at the Mexican Embassy.

A Mexican visa will be required of nationals from countries which do not yet have a visa-waiver agreement with Mexico and are not holding a valid U.S. visa. Mexican visas may have a validity of up to 10 years. A simplified process entails coming to the Embassy in order to fulfill the mandatory requirements of fingerprinting and digital photography. The fee is 135 Saudi riyals.

Obtaining a Mexican visa steps:

  • handing in the application;
  • waiting 10 days for approval from the Mexican Immigration Authority;
  • fingerprints and photograph taken at the Embassy; and
  • stamping the visa on the passport.

All fields in the visa application must be filled in and each application must be signed; signature on application and passport must match; passport must be shown. Attach a perfectly legible photocopy of relevant passport pages (where photo and particulars appear, including all valid visas).

Proof of financial support during stay in Mexico, such as:

  • international credit cards;
  • letter from employer on company letterhead stating monthly salary and ending date of contract;
  • flight itinerary into and out of Mexico;
  • three untouched recent colour pictures (5x 3.5 cm) on white background, looking straight into the camera, without eyeglasses and head uncovered (i.e. both ears and neck must be visible, as well as the hairline).

This information applies to regular passports of nationals of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Yemen.
