Mexico and Korea have excellent political, economic and cooperative relations, although there is still a huge potential for the development of all aspects of the bilateral relationship. As emerging nations, both countries share common visions in terms of economic and social development, open markets, disarmament, democracy and human rights, regional cooperation and global responsibility.

Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

  • Issuance of visas;
  • Registration of Mexicans abroad;
  • Consular protection of Mexicans abroad;
  • Assistance to Mexicans in cases of emergency;
  • Civil registration;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Other documentation services.

In case of lost or stolen Mexican passport abroad, it should be immediately reported to the competent authority.  Report about the loss, theft of the passport will be required when applying for an emergency passport at the Mexican Embassy.

Citizens of South Korea do not require a visa to visit Mexico for tourism purposes. However, they must have their valid passport or other valid identification document and have FMM duly completed. The immigration authority may also request to provide documentation proving the purpose of the trip.
