The Mongolian Embassy in Canberra offers a wide variety of consular services ranging from passports to legalizations etc.
The Embassy offers two types of visas - Tourist and Non-tourist.
For the tourist visa the applications must be accompanied by a copy of the travel itinerary showing arrival and departure dates, a copy of the letter from the tour company if on an organised tour, or a cover letter explaining the travel arrangements. The applicants also need a self-addressed, pre-paid Express Post envelope for the return of the passport and the actual passport itself. Keep in mind that the visa free can be paid by money order, bank cheque or company cheque (NO cash).
The Consulate-General no longer has an office in North Sydney. However it remains an active part of Mongolian representation in Australia.
The Embassy is closed during following public holidays:

- 8 March - International Women's Day
- 1 June - Children's Day
- 11, 12, 13 July - National Day (Naadam Festival)
- 14 November - Day of Birth of Great Chinggis Khaan
- 29 December - Independence Day
