The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Issues passports;
  • Registers Norwegian citizens living abroad;
  • Deals with child birth registration;
  • Provides marriage services;
  • Issues emergency travel documents;
  • Deals with Norwegian citizenship matters;
  • Provides consular assistance to Norwegian citizens.

If Norwegian citizen losses or has his/her passport stolen, he/she should file a police report before coming to the Embassy. At the Embassy, he/she must present a copy of the police report and a valid Norwegian identification, e.g. a Norwegian driver’s licence or a debit card issued by a Norwegian bank (Visakort med bilde og signatur).

Singaporean and Malaysian passport holders do not require a visa to travel to Norway for stays of up to 90 days. The passport must be valid for at least three months after the intended date of departure from the Schengen area. Other passport holders may require a Schengen visa for stays shorter than 90 days. All visa applications to Norway are handled at the Denmark Visa Application Centre. The Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore does not handle visa applications, and does not have updated information on rules and regulations.

Stays of more than 90 days, student exchanges, family migrations, au pair visas, etc., require a residence permit.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
