In case of lost Russian passport abroad, Consular Section of the Russian Embassy can issue a return certificate (temporary document) to return to the Russian Federation. Also, a police report about the lost passport must be obtained from the local police.

According to the visa waiver agreement , citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of the Federative Republic of Brazil holding valid passports are exempted from visa requirements for entry (exit, following transit, residence) to the territory of both countries for up to 90 days per period of 180 days commencing on from the date of first entry.
