The Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of the Netherlands represents, promotes and protects the interests of the Russian Federation as well as those of the Russian nationals in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Consular Section provides these consular services:
- Issues visas;
- Registers Russian citizens living abroad;
- Deals with citizenship matters;
- Issues passports;
- Provides notarial services;
- Issues laissez-passer;
- Provides consular protection and information support to Russian nationals;
- Facilitates legal assistance.
Starting from January 13, 2014 only electronic visa application forms will be accepted.
Tourist visas can be issued for a period of not more than 30 days and can be single-entry or double-entry (only when during his/her stay in Russia visitor is planning to visit some neighbouring countries of Russia).
Documents required for a tourist visa:
- Tourist invitation (tourist visa support letter) which consists of two parts: confirmation and voucher (print-out of hotel reservation from websites offering booking services is not equivalent to a tourist invitation and cannot be accepted).
- Filled electronic visa application.
- Passport or travel document valid for at least 6 months after the expiry date of the visa and has at least 2 blank visa pages.
- Copy of health insurance that is valid in Russia during the validity period of the visa or insurance statement for Russia.
The Consular Department is empowered to give visas to Dutch citizens and for subjects of other nationalities that have valid residence permits. It should be noted that person should apply for a visa not earlier than 3 months before he/she intends to enter Russia. The standard processing time for a visa application is 5 working day.
The visa fee for the citizens of the EU-member states coming within the Russia-EU Facilitation Agreement is 35 EURO. The visa fees for the citizens of other countries may differ. The payment can be done only by bank debit card. Paid visa fees are not refundable.
The Embassy is closed during national holidays.
