Russia and the Republic of Korea actively cooperate in solving vital international problems, including the settlement of the nuclear problem of Korean Peninsula and the soonest resumption of six-party negotiations. The Russian side pays special attention to the promotion of trilateral economic projects with the participation of the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

In case of lost Russian passport abroad, Consular Section of the Russian Embassy can issue a return certificate (temporary document) to return to the Russian Federation. Also, a police report about the lost passport must be obtained from the local police.

All foreign citizens should apply for Russian visa to Russian Visa Application Centers. Application Centers will be responsible only for accepting and processing applications. All applications will continue to be assessed by the Embassy of the Russian Federation. Timelines and turnaround of visas are as per the discretion of the authority.

All applications for Russian visa submitted at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Seoul and at the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Busan should be filled in Russian or in English language and printed out using the Electronic Visa Application Form (EVA) which is a web-based application available at http://visa.kdmid.ru. The application form for Russian visa filled in handwritten will not be accepted.

Tourist visa requirements:

  • Current passport which should be valid for a minimum of six months after visa's expiration date and has at least 2 blank pages which do not need to be consecutive.
  • Visa application form filled in and printed out from this website or download visa application form, fill-out with hand writing. Kindly ensure that the dates of your entry and exit, as entered in the application form, match with or fall within the period specified in the supporting documents. Erasures, additions, crossed out words and other corrections are not allowed. Visa application form shall be signed by the applicant personally.
  • One recent photo (3cm x 4cm) glued to the indicated space on the application form. The image of the photo must be face forward, white colored background, without head-dress and sunglasses.
  • Photocopy of the application form (2 pages application form) after signed and glued a photo should be included along with your application
  • A copy of certificate of alien registration (For non-Korean nationals) should be submitted along with your ARC.
  • A 'Tourist confirmation' document stamped and signed by authorized person. They can be obtained through your hotel or an approved travel agent who deals with trips to Russia, and should be valid for the entire duration of your trip. The stamp and all details should be clearly readable.
