The Embassy of the Russian Federation in Lithuania provides these consular services:

• Assistance and issuance of visas;
• Assistance in matters of citizenship and issuance of passports;
• Notary services;
• Issuance of permits for temporary residence in the Russian Federation;
• Assistance for Russian citizens living abroad and willing to relocate to the Russian Federation.

The Government of the Russian Federation allows citizens or residents of specific countries/territories to enter Russia without having to obtain a visa, based on bilateral or multilateral agreements. Citizens of other countries must obtain a visa from a Russian embassy. Lithuanian nationals willing to visit Russia need visas that can be obtained at Russian Embassy in Vilnius or Russian Consulate in Klaip?da. All documents required for a visa must be submitted not earlier than 1 month before travel. Visa processing usually takes 3-10 working days.

In case of lost Russian passport, the Embassy may issue a certificate of return to the Russian Federation. Citizen must report loss of the Russian passport to local police and receive a notification about the fact of lost passport which will later be needed along with other documents to obtain a certificate of return to the Russian Federation.

Russian Embassy in Vilnius is closed on weekends, Lithuanian and Russian holidays.
