Slovenian Embassy in Madrid is also responsible for the Principality of Andorra, the Democratic People's Republic of Algeria and the World Tourism Organization based in Madrid.

The main tasks of the Embassy are:

  • representation and protection of interests of the Republic of Slovenia, the Kingdom of Spain and other countries of accreditation
  • promote bilateral political, economic and cultural relations and all-round cooperation between Slovenia and Spain and the countries of accreditation
  • take care of recognition of Slovenia in the receiving country,
  • consular assistance to Slovenian citizens,
  • performance of administrative procedures for Slovenian citizens in Spain and the countries of accreditation.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • basic information about traveling in the country of accreditation;
  • Slovenian citizenship;
  • Passport services;
  • Issuing identity cards;
  • Assistance to Slovenian citizens who lost their documents and money;
  • Change of residence or stay;
  • Visa information;
  • Marriage in the Kingdom of Spain.

Citizens of Spain do not need a visa to visit Slovenia.
