Kindly note that from July 1, 2016, the Consular Section (providing consular, visa and notarization services) is only open for calls in person during the hours of 9:00 - 12:00.
The Embassy provides these consular services:
- Issues visas;
- Deals with military service matters;
- Registers Korean citizens abroad;
- Issues criminal record certificates;
- Deals with nationality matters;
- Deals with civil status affairs;
- Provides notarial services;
- Issues passports;
- Deals with overseas voting matters.
In case of lost passport, South Korean citizens should report the loss to the local police and obtain a police notification. This notification will be needed when applying for an emergency passport at the South Korean Embassy.
On 1 October 1969, an Exchange of Notes on the Waiver of Visa Requirements was signed between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark. On the note Danish citizens can visit the Republic of Korea without visa for duration of up to 90 days or less if the purpose of the trip is for tourism. A person who wishes to work or to engage in profit making activities is kindly requested to apply for an appropriate entry visa.
