South Korean Embassy in Netherlands supports and organizes activities that further strengthen the friendly relationship between the two countries and strives to provide excellent service to Korean citizens residing in the Netherlands as well as to anyon who is interested in Korea.

The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Issues passports;
  • Registers Korean citizens abroad;
  • Issues visas;
  • Provides notarial services;
  • Issues residence permits;
  • Allows Korean citizens to participate in national electoral events;
  • Deals with civil status documentation and issues.

According to the Visa Waiver Agreements (B1), Dutch citizens who are holding a valid passport are free to enter South Korea for travel purpose within 90 days. Citizens of other countries should contact the Embassy of South Korea to find out if they need a visa to enter South Korea.

Requirements for a tourist visa:

  • Completed application form;
  • Original passport with the validity fo at least 6 months;
  • 1 passport photo (color photo 3,5 x 4,5 cm);
  • Return flight ticket;
  • Bank statement (the balance of the last month up to the date of application has to be more than 2000 euro);
  • Application fee.

As of 1 June 2014, the Government of the Republic of Korea will start a Working Holiday Program with the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, providing an annual quota of 100 visas for the Dutch young people to travel and work in the Republic of Korea for 12 months (maximum). The main purpose of this program is to enable the Dutch young people to have an extended holiday while supplementing necessary funds with short-term work in the Republic of Korea.
