Faculty of Engineering - Quality University Education:
Situated on a new campus at the edge of Freiburg, the Faculty of Engineering comprises the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Microsystems Engineering offering undergraduate and graduate programs to students from around the world. 

The Department of Computer Science (IIF) covers a broad spectrum of teaching and research topics which range from from algorithmics to software technology, computer graphics to artificial intelligence and from communication systems to applications in engineering and the life sciences.

The scientific scope of the Department of Microsystems Engineering (IMTEK) with 21 professors and over 300 research and technical staff, encompasses nearly all technical fields relevant to the highly interdisciplinary world of microsystems engineering.

Two-year Masters Programs offered by these departments include:
• Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science (Taught in English and German)
• Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Embedded Systems Engineering (Taught in English)
• Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Microsystems Engineering (Taught in English)
• Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Sustainable Systems Engineering
• Mikrosystemtechnik (Taught in German)
