We recommend the following books for IELTS Preparation:
1. The IELTS Tutor (Book & CD-ROM Kit) by Lloyd Jacklin, Roslyn

This kit The IELTS Tutor is currently the only one of its kind and has
been designed to help non-English speaking students achieve success
in the IELTS Test. It is unique in its contents in that it prepares
students for the IELTS Test by means of tips and suggestions in a
visual format. It has been designed as a self-study aid and if used
correctly. It provides students with more than a 100 hours of
tuition.
The IELTS Tutor is a 40 minute CD/Video with an accompanying booklet.
It has been developed to help students to pass the IELTS test. This
is an international test which students have to pass in order to
gain entry into universities in the United Kingdom, Canada,
Australia and New Zealand. The IELTS Tutor is unique in that it
provides hints and suggestions in an audio-visual format. Most other
IELTS preparation materials only provide sample tests. It is being
distributed by the University to all IELTS test centers worldwide.

Cambridge Practice Tests for IELTS 1 contains four complete practice
tests for the Academic module of the International English Language
Testing System examination, plus extra Reading and Writing papers

practice tests conform precisely to the April 1995 revised
specifications for the exam. The Student's Book contains an
introduction to the different modules of the exam together with an
explanation of the different IELTS question types and how to
approach them. The inclusion of annotated keys and tapescripts for
each test makes the book ideal for the purposes of self-study
students. The cassettes contain listening material carefully chosen
to reflect the reality of the exam in terms of timing, format and
the types of speaker and accent used.

Insight into IELTS offers comprehensive preparation for the
International English Language Testing System, known as IELTS. The
course progressively develops skills and language for each test
paper by examining the four IELTS papers one by one, including both
Academic and General Training modules for the Reading and Writing
modules. Insight into IELTS also introduces students to the types of
communication tasks which they are likely to meet in an
English-speaking environment. Insight into IELTS Extra is a workbook
providing extensive practice material for each paper of the IELTS
examination, with one unit corresponding to each unit of the

IELTS course books too challenging for their upper intermediate
level students, with a limited amount of time to prepare for the
exam. This course covers essential exam skills and language for
Academic and General Training modules in approximately 60 hours'
teaching time. It provides students with invaluable advice on how to
maximise their band score in the exam. Shorter, achievable exam-type
tasks build students' exam skills, before students try the more
challenging tasks at authentic test level. The test practice
sections at the end of each unit together constitute a whole sample
IELTS test. The 'With answers' edition contains a full answer key
