About Us: Instituto Hemingway (accredited by the Cervantes Institute) is a middle-sized private school located in the city center of Bilbao in romantic Northern Spain since 1986. We are not only a "Spanish School", we are an "Institute for Languages and Cross-Cultural Training". We offer programs such as Spanish courses, University semester abroad programs, internship programs, volunteer work, adventure tours, and more.

The object of this professional development course in Northern Spain is to bring teachers of Spanish as a second language (ELE) up-to-date with regard to the practical aspects of teaching, methodology, and the historical/social aspects of Spain.

The course covers specific grammar, the study and analysis of present day methods, type of classes, the use of various teaching materials in the classroom, the classification and evaluation of students. Classes cover customs, history, art, literature, sociology and Spanish politics.
Individualized advice. The course is adapted to your needs. We provide a wide range of bibliographical information and advice to Individuals.

This is an intensive two-week course of sixty units (6 hrs/day intensive, 1hr. = 50mins) with a maximum of six students in a group. The course is for teachers of all nationalities.

If you wish to prolong your stay, you can also enrol in a course at Advanced or Higher level.

Monday to Friday. Courses starting every Monday throughout the year.
Minimum 1 week stay. Average class size: 3.
Maximum number of students per class: 6.
