Our summer courses in 2026 will take place in North Yorkshire, England. We very much hope to organise a course in Italy or in another mainland Europe country in 2027. Further details will be published in August 2026 or earlier if possible.

Are you a talented cello player? Would you like to participate in a prestigious cello summer course in Europe? Language and Music for Life (LMFL) provides an International Summer Music Program in the beautiful and historic city of in Florence, Italy for adults & older teenagers (aged 16+ unless agreed with LMFL for talented younger participants) from around the world. Designed for highly motivated musicians (students and professionals) who have advanced levels of musical knowledge, this specialised summer music course is 2 weeks long. All students must be advanced level in at least one discipline, other choices can be at lower level.

In addition, Language and Music for Life offers an international classical music and cello summer camp in the UK for enthusiastic musicians of all levels & ages (children aged 5+ years old, teenagers & adults).

International Summer Music (Cello) Program - 2 weeks:

• For adults and older teenagers (16+) at advanced levels (enthusiastic amateurs & professionals).

• With classes conducted by outstanding teachers and internationally known performers, cellists will receive 10 hours of one-to-one tuition during this intensive course.

• There may be a rental scheme in place for cellos. Please ask.

You can combine your cello tuition with other classes including:
- Tuition in Viola, Violin, Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Saxophone & more..
- Chamber Music
- Orchestra Conducting
- Music Composition
- Music Theory (one-to-one)
- Jazz Sessions
- Baroque Ensemble
- Choir & more..

Participants can also participate in our optional language classes in Italian, German, French, or English. Learn in very small groups (5-6 maximum) or in private tuition.

Beautiful Location:  Our summer music program will take place at the Villa Favard di Rovezzano, the oldest part of the Conservatory Luigi Cherubini of Florence site.

Situated in the middle of a beautiful botanical park with roses and cedar trees, the Villa Favard di Rovezzano has a concert hall, lots of music studios, and a large number of piano studios (including grand pianos).
