Our 4-year Bachelor of Arts Degree program in History encourages students to interpret and question the cultural, social, economic and political factors that shape the ways in which individuals, societies, and cultures change over time. Students can also avail of a 2-year History Associate of Arts degree program.

The Bachelor of Arts in History is designed to provide the intellectual breadth and the analytical skills that allow students to make meaningful connections between the past and the present.

History faculty help students develop the skills of historical analysis, critical reading and writing, and research through a combination of lecture courses and limited enrollment seminars. Core curriculum courses include:

- Introduction to Western Civilization I
- Introduction to Western Civilization II
- Long-Term History of Globalization
- History of Ancient Greece
- Historical and Philosophical Aspects of the Italian Renaissance
- Early Modern Europe: Absolutism and Revolutions
- The Age of Nationalism
- The Age of Imperialism
- Contemporary European History - 1945 to present

We also provide a 2-year History Associate of Arts degree program.
