English Language Courses in Philadelphia PA:

General English Course:
Course Duration: 15 hours of classroom study per week and an additional 5.25 hours of study sessions. Study for a minimum of 2 weeks.

This certified General English course aims to help you to improve your English language skills, while also providing enough time to explore Philadelphia and enjoy the local attractions.

You will have 20 lessons per week (lessons are 45 minutes long) and 7 study sessions specifically designed to complement your in-class English lessons.

In this course, you focus on the four main aspects of language: writing, reading, speaking and listening. In addition, you learn grammar and vocabulary, as well as how to speak in informal and formal discussions,interviews and strategies.


Intensive English Course:
Course Duration: 21 hours of classroom study per week and an additional 5.25 hours of study sessions. Study for a minimum of 2 weeks.

In this course, you will have 20 lessons of General English (lessons are 45 minutes long) which focus on the four main aspects of language: writing, reading, speaking and listening. 
The aim is to allow you to quickly achieve English fluency and to learn vocabulary and grammar that will be useful in everyday life.

In addition, you will have 8 lessons of Specific Skills, which may include English for Business, Current Affairs, Local Culture, and Film Studies, among others.

You will also have 7 study sessions specifically designed to complement your in-class English lessons.You also have the option to take specific skills lessons in TOEFL or IELTS to help prepare you for future exams.


Vacation English Course:
Course Duration: 20 lessons per week / 15 hours of classroom study per week. Study for a minimum of 2 weeks.

This course is ideal for those who want to improve their English while enjoying plenty of free time to explore your new location.

It aims to provide you with the English communication skills you need to sightsee, and you will learn the vocabulary and grammar you need to feel comfortable while traveling.

In addition, we offer an extensive activities program, or you can choose to explore on your own.


Academic Year and Semester Courses:
• English Academic Semester Course: Live in Philadelphia for 5-6 months and absorb the English language successfully and effortlessly
• English Academic Year Course: Spend 9 months learning English in Philadelphia
• Intensive English Academic Semester Course: 5-6 months in duration (20-24 weeks of English language tuition + 1-2 weeks of vacation)
• Intensive English Academic Year Course: Combines Intensive English study and cultural immersion for 9 months


TOEFL Exam Preparation:
Course Structure: 20 Lessons and 15 sessions of structured study per week. Course Duration: 4-16 weeks

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is an internationally-recognized standardized exam used to assess the proficiency of non-native English speakers. 

Our TOEFL and Academic English exam preparation course will give you the level of English and the TOEFL test skills that you need to do well on your exam.

Focusing on test-taking strategies, the course includes TOEFL-focused writing, reading, speaking, and listening, plus simulation tests and practice exam questions.
