Trauma Physician - Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre

We are seeking a full-time Trauma Physician to join the ARHCC Trauma Service within the Fraser Health Trauma Network. The Trauma Physician will serve as a Trauma Team Lead/Consultant for trauma team activations and consultations. They will be the medical/clinical lead for admitted patients while being on-call 24/7 for approximately 7 days every 2 months. On-call hours include onsite daytime hours and home call within a 30-minute travel time to hospital.

They will join a team of 9 trauma physicians, including emergency room physicians and surgeons.

• Lead trauma team activations and consultations as Trauma Team Lead/Consultant.
• Provide medical/clinical management as MRP for admitted trauma patients.
• Participate in on-call duties 24/7 on a rotating schedule (approximately 7 days every 2 months).
• Collaborate with emergency room physicians, intensivists, anesthesiologists, general surgeons, and allied health professionals at ARHCC.

• ATLS
• CCFP EM
• CMPA
• CPSBC Eligible
• FRCPC Eligible
• Fellowship in Trauma and/or Acute Care Surgery would be an asset but is not necessary
