Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Power Engineer is responsible for monitoring and maintaining all the mechanical equipment and systems in the plant and for performing daily pre‑operational inspections and repairs as necessary. The position is also responsible for boiler operation of a high‑pressure boiler.
Main Duties:- Accountable for preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment per work order requests, equipment stoppages or breakdowns.
- Accountable to adhere to and utilize company policies and procedures and HACCP regulations.
- Ensuring a safe work environment for co‑workers, customers, and visitors.
- Work in a safe, responsive manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as required.
- 4th Class Power Engineering (willing to train if successful candidate does not have experience).
- Must have a valid Power Engineering ticket.
- Maintenance Experience.
- Ability to work 4 days 10‑hour shift.
- Mechanical, electrical and refrigeration systems knowledge, and an ability to use power and manual tools.
- Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
- Ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
- Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Millwrights encouraged to apply (millwright wage applicable).
- Fast‑paced environment.
- Physically demanding – lifting up to 60lbs.
- Work under pressure.
- Handling heavy loads.
- Hand‑eye coordination.
- Standing for extended periods.
- Hot/Cold.
