Salary

The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42 - $59.52 / hour.

We are currently hiring for Casual Registered Nurses, Perinatal to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital located in Abbotsford, B.C.

In accordance with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) standards of practice and the Mission and Values of Fraser Health, the Registered Nurse, Perinatal provides direct patient care to childbearing patients and their families during the intra‑postpartum and high‑risk antepartum periods.

Education and Experience

Graduate from an approved School of Nursing and hold current registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM. One year of recent, related clinical perinatal nursing experience; completion of postgraduate basic coursework or certification in perinatal nursing. Current Basic Rescuer (Level

C) and Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certificates.

Skills and Abilities

• Complete patient assessment and apply maternal/fetal/newborn theory to provide care.
• Recognize acuity changes and communicate effectively with patients, families and the inter‑professional team.
• Integrate evidence‑based research into nursing decisions.
• Teach and instruct patients and families on essential health topics.
• Organize and prioritize work in a continuously changing environment.
• Operate related equipment and relevant computer applications.
• Perform physical duties required by the position.
