Job Overview
This position ensures the well‑being of individuals and promotes their development in a family setting. A key component of this job is to assist individuals in their physical, social, emotional and daily life skills development, increasing their independence and engagement in their community. The Community Inclusion Worker supports individuals with intellectual, developmental and/or physical divers abilities, emotional, behavioral, and other medical needs, including addictions.
They establish and maintain a warm personal relationship with each person served and encourage the active involvement of family members, friends and neighbors.
- Assist individuals in physical, social, emotional and daily life skills development.
- Promote independence and community engagement.
- Maintain warm, personal relationships with clients.
- Encourage active involvement of family, friends and neighbors.
- Clear Criminal Record Check through Ministry of Public Safety and Justice.
- Adult Care or Community Care First Aid/CPR Food Safe Certification.
- Valid Class 4 or 5 driver’s licence.
- Favorable and current Driver Abstract.
- Minimum of two work‑related references (supervisory).
