This vacancy is for an experienced Maintenance Technician / Plant Operator within the Compound Plant at the Aberdare site. The role involves operation and maintenance of the Compound Plant, working a 3 shift pattern as part of a small team to ensure continued production and maintenance operation in a busy environment. A willingness to work flexibly and overtime is required.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a maintenance technician in a busy, high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Having served a recognised apprenticeship in a suitable discipline and ideally educated to HNC level.
• Experience in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Experience working a variety of shift patterns, including continuous shifts; comfortable working independently when required and using initiative with a strong desire to succeed in a challenging environment.
• Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Windows; must be able to demonstrate an understanding of PLC programming.

• Maintain, repair and fault-find on plant and machinery using various maintenance disciplines.
• Contribute toward machine efficiency and development programmes using existing maintenance programmes and methodologies.
• Complete preventative maintenance inspections and implement action plans to stop reoccurring faults.
• Effective management and operation of a PVC compounding facility.

Location – Aberdare. This role is based at our Aberdare site, at Harriet Street, Trecynon, Aberdare, South Wales, CF44 0TD
