Overview:
Corrie Recruitment is recruiting for an experienced Project Planner to join a well-established civil engineering contractor.
This is a key role supporting the successful delivery of multiple live construction projects through accurate scheduling, planning, and coordination. The successful candidate will provide expert planning input across tender, pre-construction, and live project phases, working closely with site and commercial teams to ensure timely and profitable project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Asta Power project, Microsoft Project, or Primavera P6
* Manage programmes across multiple live contracts simultaneously
* Monitor progress against baseline programmes and forecast completions
* Identify critical paths, delays, and risks, proposing mitigation measures
* Prepare NEC-compliant programmes and updates (Clause
* Produce tender and pre-construction programmes, methodologies, and sequencing
* Work closely with site management to reflect real-time progress
* Attend site visits, planning meetings, and client progress meetings
* Prepare look-ahead schedules, progress reports, dashboards, and KPIs
* Support resource planning, including labour, plant, and materials
* Assist with delay analysis, time-impact assessments, and EOT submissions
* Maintain accurate planning records for audit and contractual purposes
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Planner within civil engineering, infrastructure, or construction
* Minimum 5 years’ site experience within civil works
* Strong working knowledge of planning software (Asta / MS Project / P6)
* Experience with NEC contracts and CDM Regulations preferred
* Valid CSCS card and Full UK Driving Licence
* Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* Strong IT literacy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
