Contract Type: Fixed‑Term Apprenticeship, Full‑time for 13 months

Join us as a Production Apprentice to kick‑start your career in technical production at BBC Scotland. You’ll learn on‑the‑job, develop skills in audio, post‑production editing and media management, and work towards an SCQF 7 qualification.

• Audio – develop essential sound skills such as audio capture, live sound mixing, recording, editing, playback and technical troubleshooting.
• Editing (Post‑Production) – learn the craft of editing for broadcast and online platforms, assembling stories, sound mixing and delivering content for transmission.
• Support BBC Scotland across Radio, Podcasting and Television in studio and on‑location settings.

• Curiosity about the technical side of storytelling from acquisition to post‑production.
• Willingness to learn and drive to develop technical and creative abilities.

Eligibility criteria:

• Be 18 years old or over by the start of the apprenticeship in September 2026.
• Be legally eligible to work full‑time in the UK for the entire duration.
• Not currently enrolled in another apprenticeship programme.
• For candidates under 19, have Core Skills (Scotland) SCQF Level 5 or 6 in Communication and Numeracy.
