Principal Technical Safety Engineer

• Identify the scope of work required
• Input to project plans
• Identify areas of concern during any project or study
• Lead and chair HAZID and HAZOP workshops
• Ensure designs comply with international standards (NFPA, API, DNV, ..)
• Technical assurance and design review
• Produce cost- effective engineering solutions that are fit for purpose, safe and add value
• Ability to address operational and maintenance issues in the design and liaise with colleagues for the best solution
• Interface with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and regulatory bodies to resolve safety issues.
• Mentor and guide junior technical safety engineers
• Experience in HAZOP and HAZID Chairing & Participation
• Experience in Functional Safety
• Experience in FEED Study
• Experience in QRA, FERA, EERA, and risk assessment methodologies
• Experience in Hazardous Area Classification
• Previous experience in preparation of technical proposal, cost and man-hour estimates
