** THE OPPORTUNITY – COMPETENCE SPECIALIST (CONTRACT ROLE)
*** This role is responsible for providing efficient competence advisory services within Spirit Energy’s operated assets, technical and HSE functions
* Maintains latest standards, procedures and systems to ensure consistent best practice is deployed in the competence area satisfying Country specific legislation and Spirit Energy requirements
* Provides operated assets support for assessment and verification
* Supports functional competence frameworks and assessment across the business
** Contract Duration** – One Year initial contract
** Location** – Aberdeen, hybrid working – with trips offshore, and other onshore locations, so all offshore certifications must be valid.
** Rate** - £245 - £300 per day PAYE plus 33 days paid holidays
** AND NOW FOR THE TECHNICAL BIT…
** Once in role, you will be accountable for:
* Support the development of site, business and portfolio competence assurance plans in a timely manner to identify technical and legislative competence needs
* Conduct assessments and/or internal verification as required
* Manage the competence assurance register and build effective relationships with assessors and internal verifiers assisting with standardisation meetings and ensuring they are following correct process
* Manage Competence and Job Profiles in the Competence Management System and prepare and issue competence reports
* Actively contribute to key competence strategies including competence frameworks
* Maintain assessment programmes for Safety Critical, Operational Critical and Technical that will minimise risk to the safety of personnel, the integrity of the assets and the maintenance of the environment at both the offshore and onshore locations
* Provide support for any audit and inspections that involve Competence
* Proactively maintains their technical and interpersonal skills and competencies, ensuring capabilities are up to date and in line with industry/functional best practice and that behaviours are in line with Spirit’s core Values. Understand the skills, competencies and behaviours required for their role.
* Collaborates effectively, adapting their behaviour and communication as needed to get the best from others. Effectively promotes ideas and opinions and is able to influence others in a constructive way. Maintains good relationships across all organisation levels.
* Promotes a positive Incident Free Workplace culture by driving HSES and process safety performance and regulatory compliance through adherence to company standards & procedures, including the Spirit Energy CMAPP and HSES Policy
** ABOUT YOU
** You’ll need to have a Production Operations background, with proven experience in previous competence coordination.
As this role requires offshore visits, you will need to have your BOSIET and MIST up to date. We would also expect you to hold PDA in Workplace Assessment using Direct and Indirect Methods and PDA in Internal Verification of Workplace Assessment.
To be successful in this role you will have:
