Overview job descriptionWe’re looking for a personable and proactive Support Technician to join a small, collaborative team. This customer‑facing role involved delivering technical support, troubleshooting issues, and providing on‑site assistance for managed IT services.
Main duties and responsibilities- Providing remote and on‑site technical support across devices, applications, and networks.
- Managing support tickets, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and software.
- Administering Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, and security features.
- Troubleshooting connectivity and networking issues (Wi‑Fi, routers, switches).
- Supporting backup, antivirus, and security tools.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with colleagues for smooth handovers.
- 5+ years in technical support, ideally in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Networking troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
- Familiarity with security tools and best practices.
- Experience with ticketing systems; exposure to cloud services is a plus.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Ability to work from the Aberdeen office and visit client sites.
- Friendly, approachable, and confident engaging with clients.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Keen to learn and grow with new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
