Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Electronic Technician will focus on the assembly and testing of finished products, as well as maintaining the work area and equipment used. Working within the Production Department team, you will ensure all work is completed to company quality standards and delivered on time.
MainDuties & Responsibilities
- Build finished products and electronic sub-assemblies within the defined build time.
- Carry out soldering and assembly of electrical assemblies and components.
- Liaise with relevant departments once products have been manufactured and are ready for final inspection.
- Take responsibility for delivering your set objectives and report progress to your supervisor as agreed.
- Ensure build times are updated in the ERP system relative to the defined build routing during assembly.
- Maintain and continuously improve HSEQ standards within the workshop.
- Identify and report any incorrect information found in build notes to your supervisor.
- Follow technical drawings, assembly instructions and parts lists to manufacture assemblies in line with customer expectations.
- Raise material requisitions as required.

- Previous experience in electronic or mechanical assembly.
- Experience in electronic circuit fault finding.
- Experience soldering surface mount components.
- Ability to understand manufacturing drawings and schematics, and identify incorrect or missing information.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work collaboratively across all manufacturing teams.
- Organised, with the ability to prioritise workload during high-volume periods and when priorities change.
- A collaborative, flexible team player who can also work independently when required.
