Job Title: Welder/Fabricator Level 3

Reporting Line: Workshop Lead

Location: Aberdeen

Position Grade: G

• Carry out repairs to offshore CCU’s and tanks
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to improve safety and aesthetics of CCU
• Document trip inspection (includes electronically)
• Carry out visual inspection on all CCU’s (including inspection of lifting gear)
• Perform cutting and heating tasks by use of oxygen and acetylene
• Non fleet and third-party repairs or fabrication
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• Ability to work to a high standard of workmanship
• Ability to learn new skills
• Work to tight deadlines in a safe and accurate manner
• Ability to work unsupervised in a diligent and safe manner

• Prior welding experience
• Certified to carry out Secondary Structure Fillet Welds (EPD
  016)
• Good understanding of fabrication and confident in reading engineering drawings
• Knowledgeable in identifying acceptable materials in reference to weld procedures for DNV compliant repairs
• Certified to carry out Primary Structure Repairs (EPD
  012)
• Numeracy & literacy
• Mechanical aptitude
• Forklift driving (not essential)
• Ability to perform fabrication work to offshore standard DNV 2.7‑1
