Job Description

Efficiently support day‑to‑day warehouse and inventory operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching materials. Maintain accurate stock records, uphold safety standards, and contribute to smooth, reliable logistics within a fast‑paced environment.

Tasks and Responsibilities as Stores Operative Goods in/ Goods Out/Equipment Returns
  • Assist with the emptying of returned containers of equipment and materials.
  • Assist with Aspire off hiring and third party returns.
  • Assist in ensuring that returned equipment has appropriate certification attached.
  • Assist in information retrieval from Returns email address.
  • Assist in ensuring that any returned Dangerous Goods / Chemicals are dealt with according to the procedure.
  • Assist in the generation of equipment checklists and GRN’s.
  • Assist with waste management activities.
  • Responsible for assisting in the management and accuracy of stock levels and the completion of routine audits on a quarterly basis.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the effective management of “surplus” materials.
  • Input into and maintenance of stock control systems.
  • Actively participate and contribute in the day‑to‑day interface between Group Operations, Purchasing and Base Facility.
  • Co‑ordinating resource requirements to ensure cost effective purchasing and stock control.
  • Assist in materials receipt and dispatch.

Job Requirements

Specific Requirements for the Stores Operative Education
  • GCSE, Higher education or experience commensurate with the role and have demonstrated an appropriate level of technical competence.
  • PUWER & LOLER.
  • Environmental Awareness.
  • Product Specific Training.
Experience and Skills
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Knowledge of range of services Altrad does and can provide to the client.
