AP/AR Assistant Accountant - Maternity Cover FTC

Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment (Formerly Hutcheon Mearns) are delighted to be supporting our Private Equity backed client to recruit an AP/AR a full‑time, maternity cover position that will last for an initial period of 13 months. The role will be based in Ellon, with hybrid working on offer.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll play a key role in managing accounts payable and receivable across three entities.

Key responsibilities include:

• Daily bookkeeping and ledger reconciliations
• Managing AP/AR processes and credit control (including customer debt chasing)
• Supporting audits and ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and internal policies
• Liaising with suppliers, customers, and internal teams
• Assisting with cash flow forecasting

The successful candidate will be a proactive self‑starter with experience in a similar role. You will have strong attention to detail and be a confident communicator. Experience with Sage would be beneficial but is not essential.

  Tuesday–Thursday in the Ellon office
