Breast Cancer Care Clinical Nurse Specialist

A 37.5 hour per week (1 WTE) band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist role in Breast Care at Bronglais General Hospital, with opportunities to travel to other sites within the health board.

This position is part of the Planned Care and Cancer Care Group and supports diagnostic and clinical care for breast cancer patients.

• Organise and manage a caseload of breast cancer patients, providing specialist nursing support, education and holistic care.
• Act as the key worker for diagnosed patients, delivering expert assessment and support across the care pathway.
• Develop clinical practice and maintain a commitment to continuing professional development.
• Play an active role in clinical practice, education, audit and research, implementing national guidelines.
• Support multidisciplinary teamwork and promote improvements in service delivery.

• Registered Nurse (Part
  1) and current NMC registration.
• Master’s Degree or equivalent experience; specialist qualifications in breast cancer care.
• Expert knowledge in breast pathology and clinical speciality.
• Understanding of service improvement and the ability to critically appraise research literature.
• Experience at Band 6 in a relevant specialty and multi‑professional environment.

• Teaching or management qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Advanced clinical skills, including non‑medical prescribing (v3xx).
• Band 7 experience and participation in research.

• Welsh speaker (Level
  1).
