Job Description / Role:
We are seeking a skilled Accountant based in Abu Dhabi to manage financial transactions, ensure the accuracy of ledgers, compliance with VAT and corporate tax regulations, and support financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Prepare and process bank reconciliations
- Calculate and file VAT returns in compliance with FTA regulations
- Support corporate tax preparation and filing
- Utilize ERP systems to record transactions and generate financial reports
- Collaborate with internal teams during financial audits
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities
Experience
Required:
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in the UAE
- Proficiency in accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- In-depth understanding of VAT regulations and VAT return preparation
- Familiarity with FTA guidelines and requirements
- Experience preparing and filing corporate tax
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems
Education
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
