A leading and reputable construction company known for delivering large-scale, high-quality projects across the region. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to strengthen our project delivery team and ensure seamless procurement operations across our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the full procurement cycle for construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
- Review project specifications, BOQs, and drawings to determine material requirements.
- Source, evaluate, and pre-qualify suppliers and subcontractors based on technical and commercial criteria.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze quotations, and lead negotiations to ensure best value.
- Ensure timely procurement aligned with project schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, planning, quantity surveying, and site teams.
- Track supplier performance, delivery timelines, and quality compliance.
- Prepare procurement reports, maintain contracts, and update the vendor database.
- Support cost-saving initiatives and value engineering proposals.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and construction industry standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, technical specifications, and supply chain processes.
- Proven experience handling procurement for medium to large-scale construction projects.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar) is preferred.
- Experience working with high-profile or tier-one contracting companies is an advantage.
